CleanSnipe.com is VR Interactive’s focal project. The concept of the site, dreamed up by VR owners Brian Modena and Jed Frumkin, is simple: why not create one website that aggregates deals from all hourly and one-a-day deal sites like Steep and Cheap and Whiskey Militia.
The result—CleanSnipe.com—took off almost immediately, attracting users who were tired of wasting time trying to discover savings on outdoor gear.
The site lists daily deals from more than 500 outdoor industry brands and it always looking to add more. Users are able to set up deal alerts and receive announcements via email or text.
CleanSnipe has since created a community of users who are passionate about the outdoors and thrilled to spend less time shopping for gear and more time using it. The site works to engage this community with fun contest such as the annual “How Do You Snipe” Photo Contest.
In 2012, Outside Magazine named CleanSnipe.com one of the best outdoor gear websites of the year. VR is always looking to maximize the website’s potential, with the creation of a mobile app, the integration of a blog and the addition of a kickbacks program, in which members will soon be able to gain purchase points by shopping, writing reviews and referring friends.
